The Myth of Narcissus
162 oil portraits on linen, created in complete isolation during 2023. What began as a disciplined study in front of a mirror evolved into an intense journey, reaching a pace of up to six paintings a day. The body of work documents a withdrawal from the world and a continuous movement along the edge of sanity - halted just before reaching the goal of 200 paintings. It stands as a material record of an inner struggle and a portrait of the human psyche.
