Green Wall 2050

A video art documenting Adar Kadosh’s Sisyphean and devoted daily care of a living green wall, as an inverted metaphor for humanity’s growing abandonment of responsibility amid the escalating climate crisis. This ongoing, attentive, and persistent plant care stands in stark contrast to a speculative future in which ecological collapse is measured in the language of capital markets. At the bottom of the screen, a real-time ticker displays fictional economic indices from the year 2050, reporting and trading in essential resources such as oxygen, clean air, shaded space, and extinct biodiversity.
