Fresh Paint's Greenhouse acts as a launch pad for the careers of young, promising, unrepresented artists. The fair enables independent artists, all of whom are carefully selected by a professional panel, to be exposed to curators, gallery owners, collectors and the public at large; facilitate the presentation and sale of their work; and enjoy the fruits of their labor and talent.
The Greenhouse is a unique space where some 50 promising, upcoming Israeli artists display their work. These artists are selected from about 1,000 candidates who submit online portfolios through the fair's unique system. The portfolios are examined first by twelve Greenhouse selection panel members – curators, gallery owners, collectors and senior artists from Israel and abroad. In the second stage, the fair curators conduct personal interviews with candidates who pass the panel and assemble the final list of participants. Members of the selection panel are replaced each year in order to ensure the greatest possible variety and give all the artists an equal chance.
